Infrastructure
EHS supports the GMI IMBA and IMP in implementing the legal requirements in the area of occupational health and safety. Appropriate measures aim to prevent and reduce injuries, illnesses, accidents or contamination at the workplace, as well as in the workplace environment.
Facility Management is responsible for building management, technical equipment in the laboratories and office areas, cleaning, waste disposal, caretaking of all indoor and outdoor areas, and operational support for scientific events. We also support laboratory operations in close cooperation with Lab Support.
Information Technology (IT) is operating and supporting services like HPC, Computers, Software, Storage, Telephony and many more. As a shared service we are supporting GMI, IMBA, IMP and VBCF.
Lab Support provides support to all scientists for their daily work and experiments and serves as a link between research and in-house facilities. This includes coordination of maintenance and repair of lab equipment, allocation of office and laboratory space, reconstruction project management as well as on- and off-boarding of research groups.
Procurement & Store is responsible for all purchasing activities and provides the best terms and conditions for your needs. We provide numerous negotiated catalogues for self-ordering, and high turnover items are available in the store 24/7.
Literature services and Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) support
The Mechanical Engineering Center supports your research from development to the completion of simple fixtures, individual laboratory equipment or automated devices when commercial options are not available. A face-to-face meeting is essential to understand your needs and offer you the best solutions.
